TYPO3 offer possibility to search any record in BackEnd for any user.

This can be done in 2 ways: using global search of local page search.

Global search can be accessed by clicking on search icon in top right corner in typo3 ver. 4.2.x and higher or at left bottom in typo3 ver. 4.1.x (see screenshots below).

Local search placed at bottom of every page in Page or List mode.

By this search box you can do a free text search in all the listed records. You can also search recursively in sub-pages by selecting a number of levels to search in the selector box to the right of the search field.
